Why money can’t give entrepreneurs the stability they’re chasing

Hey there Reader!

If you’ve been around my emails for a while, you already know something about me…

I’m deeply passionate about helping you build the business God called you to create.

But not the way the world tells you to do it.

Because if we’re being honest…a lot of the “normal” ways entrepreneurs are taught to build businesses today leave people overwhelmed, burned out, and constantly chasing the next dollar.

And that was never the way God designed this journey to feel.

The more time I’ve spent walking alongside entrepreneurs and being one myself, the more I’ve realized something important:

We don’t just need better strategies.

We need to reconnect the Bible with the way we build our businesses.

Because when our mindset is renewed by God’s truth, everything else begins to shift…

how we lead, how we market, how we handle money, and how we trust Him through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

So starting this week, every Monday I’ll be sharing a short weekly devotional for entrepreneurs right here in these emails.

A simple moment to pause, renew your mindset through scripture, and realign how you’re building the business God called you to lead.

You can read the devotional here in the email or listen to the 5-minute audio version as well down below.

So with that…let’s dive into today’s devotional.

I hope it pours into you my friend ❤️

Entrepreneurship is often associated with money, wealth, time freedom, and financial success. And while those goals aren’t bad, they can easily become the thing we chase in order to feel secure.

When you leave a job with a predictable paycheck, it’s natural to start looking to money for stability.

But this is where many of us get it wrong.

While we’re chasing stability through money, we forget that the only real stability we need is in God.

Jesus says in Matthew 6:24-34:

"No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve both God and money. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life."

As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to become consumed with questions like:

Where is my next client coming from?
How will I grow my income?
Will this business actually work?

Before we realize it, we’re not just thinking about money…

We’re serving it.

But when we flip the focus and serve God instead of money, something shifts.

We stop obsessing over outcomes.
We stop carrying the pressure alone.
And we begin trusting God as our
true provider.

And all of sudden...our money begins to grow.

Why? Because now with this shift...

Your clients are not your provider.
Your offers are not your provider.
God is.

So if money has been weighing heavily on your mind lately, take a breath today.

Refocus on God.
Serve Him first.
And trust that if He called you to build this business, He will take care of you.

Reflection prompt 👇

Where in my business have I been looking to money for stability instead of trusting God as my provider, and how can I flip it?

I’ll be back next Monday with another devotional, my friend.

Much love,

Hey Reader! How's your week been? Feel free to hit reply and let me know - I'm always down for a good convo! So, quick life update. Over the past couple of years, I've been balancing the responsibilites of work, my own business, my spiritual journey, and being a mom...to my fur baby that is. Little did I know, one of those responsibilites would be no more. There's something about losing a fur baby that hits you deeper than you ever would've thought. And I defintiely got hit...deep. I had my...

Hey Reader, There's 1 word that's been on my heart lately, especially today, that I wanted to share with you. That word? Contentment. Something easier said than done. The reason why this has been heavy on my mind, is because at times I find myself in a cycle of unhealthy striving. You know...striving for the things you don't currently have or to become who you're currently not in order to live out the ultimate potential and purpose you believe you obtain. The shorter version? Dissatisfaction...
