Hey Reader! How was your weekend? I hope you were able to rest, focus on projects, spend intentional time with family, or whatever else your spirit may have needed during this time.
For many of us, we feel energized and ready to create the difference we want to make in the world.
For others, we feel exhausted. Burnt out from the political messes that have polluted the media and our minds over the past week (just kidding, more like the past year).
Here's the thing, Reader - it's okay.
It's okay to allow the world's unrest to push you towards a dedicated state of hustle and focus.
And it's okay if the world's unrest causes you to take a step back and prioritize moments of self-reflection, solitude, or much needed restoration.
Whatever your soul needs, listen to it. It may not look or sound like everyone else's and that's okay, too!
What matters is taking care of YOU so that in the long run, you can continue radiating your light to those that need it most. And one of the best soulful habits to help you get there is meditation.
Matter of fact, let's practice it now.
I'm not asking for 30, 10, or even 5 minutes of your time.
2 minutes.
That's it.
2 minutes of re-centering yourself and gaining clarity on what YOU need as you progress throughout the new year.
This exercise was actually done in the current membership program I'm in with Rachel Rodgers and I loved it so much that I wanted to share it with you, too!
Remember, it's only 2 minutes. You ready? Find a quiet place wherever you are (a bathroom, your car, your living room, etc.) and let's begin.
Close your eyes (and occasionally peak at this exercise so you know what to do next).
Take deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. FOCUS only on your breathing in this current moment for the next 20 seconds.
Imagine what 2021 will look like for you. Where are you? What rooms are you in? What are you working on, focusing on, or achieving? Allow the images and scenes to play in your head like an internal movie premiere.
Next, imagine your 2021 vision in the form of a symbol, that represents who you are and what you aspire to be. What IS that symbol for you (think instrument, animal, plant, graphic icon)?
Now to be that symbol, what do you need? What needs to be prioritized in order to accomplish 2021 goals? to maintain peace and clarity?
What daily behaviors will you implement to keep that symbol not only alive, but thriving?
Open your eyes.
How did that feel, Reader? Depending on if you have the time, feel free to write down what you saw and what you learned. Having something tangible to refer back to as a positive reminder can be incredibly valuable.
I hope this 2-minute meditation exercise helped you, even just a little bit. If you'd like to access more free exercises, you can check out the 6 meditation cheat sheets I created just for you down below.

Until next time, friend.

Hey Reader! How's your week been? Feel free to hit reply and let me know - I'm always down for a good convo! So, quick life update. Over the past couple of years, I've been balancing the responsibilites of work, my own business, my spiritual journey, and being a mom...to my fur baby that is. Little did I know, one of those responsibilites would be no more. There's something about losing a fur baby that hits you deeper than you ever would've thought. And I defintiely got hit...deep. I had my...
